Because it's been too long since there was a shoes thread:

The heel is very interesting. I wonder if these shoes would be comfortable to wear.

That matters? LOOK at those things of beauty. My coworker, who turned me on to this guys shoes, swears each pair she has of his (4 or 5) are supremely comfortable. The pair she's wearing today are black with a wide white buckled strap across the toe and a heart-shaped heel - adorable!

The Betty Boop tennis shoes with heels were totally heinous.

I need to get the Chicken Flip-Flops. Just because.

I sort of like the Christian Louboutin mohair pumps. Unfortunately, I don't have any fuzzy clothes to wear them with.

Not owning any of the ugly ones makes me happy.

Leah's store was selling these:

http://www.manalive.com/store/catalog/p ... =null&N=30

On clearance, marked down from $69.99 to $16.99! I'm not sure if she'd still get her manager's discount; probably not at that price. I tried 'em on a few weeks ago -- surprisingly not-uncomfortable for the height. She was gonna bring a pair home for me, but I chickened out, as I don't ever want to end up on crutches again! Now it's too late -- they're sold out.

My friends asked why Leah didn't snatch up a pair for herself -- I told 'em she already has about 30 pairs of fancy shoes

It is not the shoes that make you happy.

It is the quest for shoes. Ones that you get that make your feet feel good and you look better. Ones that give you more options for your clothes. You know, where you have an outfit where the perfect shoes would make them better.

I am in the hunt for the perfect pair of black platform sandals. I used to own them, but I wore them so much they fell apart. I fixed them until I couldn't. I loved them so.

RIP Perfect Black Platform Sandal.

The quest and the thought of the quest. And the completion of the quest. All quest-related activities regarding shoes are happy-making for me.
I just bought my first pair of shoes since I can't remember when. I have a pair of Franco Sartos slides with a little taller than kitten heel (which tried to kill me two months ago) that I've worn til they're probably going to 'splode off my feet. They're black and perfect with absolutely anything, from skirts to jeans.

I want more shoes. Except not those gold over the knee boot things on the Shoewawa website. Dang they found some ugly-ass shoes.
Well, then

How about these?
Those are lovely, but more of an open-toe pump than a sandal.

No platform there either. I have a pair similar to those, but the heel isn't as high...they're by Chinese Laundry...and they hurt like hell. NEVER buy a pair of Chinese Laundry shoes. They're not expensive, they're cute, but they hurt your feet!
