An easy question. But whoever came up with "Prii," in an attempt to sound Latin, doesn't know that many Latin words ending in -us have plurals that don't end in -i. In Latin, prius is the neuter form of prior (foremost), and its plural is priora. I still prefer "Priuses."

Sayonara, walk away, final answer. I would never have guessed four. OK, I would never have guessed any of them.

You know that when you eliminate the fluff, the question wasn't really about babies, right? Reading the question closely, they're saying it's the same country that was ruled by Napoleon III. So do you know which country that was and who its current leader is? Can you eliminate any of the other choices?

Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

That's probably the most logical way to read the Q, but not the only way; you could read it as saying "Napoleon fathered a baby while ruling Napoleon's country, now who recently fathered a baby while ruling their country". Which I'd guess is what the question-writers meant; I don't think this was trick Q in the way you imply, in other words.

Of course, the Q actually says "had a baby", & unless I've got my biology facts wrong, none of the people named have actually created & expelled one from within their body.

(also, Sarkozy is not currently ruling anything, & I don't think was at the time of filming either, but you knew that.)

I think you're reading the question too broadly, if you don't think "his country" limits it down to the same one. Moreover, if your reading it as "any country" is correct, I'd be amazed if there weren't any world leaders who had a child while in power, since the 19th century.

You're right about the biological aspect of it, of course. And the question writers didn't even address the legitimate/illegitimate issue. If they're going to write page-long questions, these days, you'd think they could pin down all those technicalities. :P

In Great Britain, Tony Blair had a son while in office. And Queen Victoria had children, in the literal sense.

Here's an article about Sue's appearance.

http://phoenixville.patch.com/articles/ ... illionaire
Sue Gausch, a 1988 graduate of Phoenixville Area High School and current borough resident, did the area proud last week, as she won $1,000 as a contestant on Who Wants to be a Millionaire?, The Phoenix is reporting.
Well, that's what all contestants are guaranteed to win, but I'm glad they're proud...

The article that blurb links to is longer, and includes a full transcript of her questions.
Sue’s inspiration for trying out for “Millionaire” was her mother, who has been a huge fan of the show since the beginning. Her mother Anne watches “Millionaire” faithfully at lunchtime every day.
Uh huh. Anne's the fan, but Sue gets cast for the show... :|
