What sort of prizes are they offering? They would have to be quite good for me to tryout, since the clips I saw of this show don't make it look very interesting.

I saw a bit about this show on some news program. Hard to believe that it's interesting enough to sustain a weekly show, let alone a popular one. I think it's another Japanese revenge for beating them in WW II, right alongside Toyota, Honda and Karaoke.
