Jeff plays that as well. I've played it a few times, but don't like how luck can sometimes be a huge factor in the game.

I believe that there is an online version of Settlers as well.
I should look that up for killing time purposes.

I actually like the luck factor. I am really bad at boardgames- I think it's partly my learning disability throwing a wrench in the works and partly my short attention span, but Catan doesn't irritate me like a lot of games do.

I suspect I might also be rather annoying to play boardgames with- I'm constantly asking whose turn it is because I can't track a sequence of players in my head, even if it should be completely obvious.

I will ask Jeff to post a link for you.

One of the generally-known rules about turn-based boardgames is this:
If you don't know whose turn it is, then it is probably your turn (and the other players are impatiently wondering when you are going to figure it out).

Here is a link to the website where I do most of my online gaming. They have a Catan game and a Carcassonne game. I've only rarely played Catan there, since they don't use the usual map set-up.

It's an economics/strategy game.

Here is a link to a descriptin of the game:

Have you played Carcassonne? Of all of the games that Jeff plays, I like it the most.

There is an online version of the game. The girls' favorite trick to play on Jeff is to change his link from the game to the Hamsterdance website.

That is one nerdy game!
