I didn't see the resemblance. And as I noted elsewhere Deborah had a "surfeit of personality".

Deborah treated her students to a trip to New Orleans. She's also setting up a couple scholarships...and she's buying herself some shoes.

Incidentally, some reporter apparently thought the postal abbreviation for Mississippi was MI, then some headline writer read that byline and turned Deborah into a "Michigan teacher". Now that would have been a long limo ride to New Orleans! :P

Deborah's class trip just got cited as an anecdote in this column about teaching as a career.

http://www.telegram.com/article/2012120 ... 2/BUSINESS
Teachers are special people. Mississippi Spanish teacher Deborah Bishop won a $23,500 prize on the TV game show “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” and spent a chunk of it to treat her 20 Spanish Honor Society students to a night on the town — dinner at a fancy restaurant, limousine pick-up and tickets to the opera, all while dropping off toy donations at the Children’s Hospital on the way.
