We just saw a similar question on Thursday:
BBTranscriptTeam wrote:In addition to picturing three dogs, Georges Seurat's "Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jette" is a park scene that also features what animal?

A: Camel B: Penguin
C: Ostrich D: Monkey

Diana has no idea. She feels like
Spoiler
a monkey might be an island animal, so she guesses D: Monkey.

Answer
D: Monkey
So were "Sunday" and "George" supposed to be the clues that made one think of Seurat's work and therefore think of the art style he's noted for? If so, it might have been a tad easier if the contestants in the green room could still watch the contestants taping on the set, instead of watching carefully selected tapes of previous contestants.

The Museum of Bad art says the painter of this work is Unknown and it doesn't mention when it was painted. But, oh, it did appear on the CBS Morning News at some point, so everybody should have seen that, right?

Otherwise, it's just another (entirely coincidentally in a Level 9 slot) WWOQ.
And here's the "famous" painting!

You don't have to know anything about the bad painting to get the question. Sunday in the Park with George is a famous Stephen Sondheim musical, inspired by the Seurat painting.

FWIW Carlin taped my first tape day (the third tape day of the season) and a quick glance at the GS Kingdom site shows that the other Seurat question was taped much later, after Meredith's injury.
In this town, don't we love it now, everbody's waiting for the next surprise!

Maria Barnett's Seurat question (technically, the audience member's question) was taped September 17.

If you know "Sunday in the Park with George" is by Seurat, then the answer is clear. Interestingly there was a Seurat question on J! the same day.
"Elen sila lumenn omentielvo...A star shines on the hour of our meeting."
