US Election 2012 - What Do You Think Was ...

#1 Post by Brit Canuck » Thu Nov 08, 2012 11:07 pm

... The one thing all night that was so odd, so crazy, potentially a national laughingstock
- or just so weird that it was awesome?

Days later, Florida still counting votes that are now (nationally) redundant?

Several states legalizing marijuana for non-medicinal use?

Los Angeles County requiring adult film stars to wear condoms onscreen?

Mitt Romney reportedly refusing to concede the result for over an hour?

FOX News' Karl Rove reportedly refusing to concede the result for over an hour?

Something else?

I need to add something from another thread....

Darwin won 4000 votes in GA. Or the fact that they could not find anyone to run against Darwin's opponent.

This is the only item on your list that meets your description, IMHO. Did that ballot resolution pass? I only heard a brief mention of it on The Daily Show.

Charles Darwin getting 4,000 write-in ballots was simply awesome.

The porn star resolution passed with 54% of the vote last I saw. Permit fees will be used to finance inspections. Steve and I were wondering who from the Health Department would want THAT job????

Two dead people were elected! Florida Democrat Earl K. Wood and Alabama Republican Charles Beasley both died after they were placed on the ballots.

From "What's New Pussycat"
Michael James(Peter O'Toole): Did you find a job?
Victor Skakapopulis(Woody Allen): Yeah, I got something at the striptease. I help the girls dress and undress.
Michael James: Nice job.
Victor Skakapopulis: Twenty francs a week.
Michael James: Not very much.
Victor Skakapopulis: It's all I can afford.
