Election Volunteers

#1 Post by peacock2121 » Mon Mar 10, 2008 4:59 am

Okay, I don't get it:

How would you like to volunteer and make anywhere from $95.00 to $120.00? The Elections Division is looking for volunteers to serve as polling place officials on Election Day. There may be a polling place near you who could use your help.

Isn't part of volunteering that you don't get paid?

Yep. They worded it poorly. My precinct is always trying to get me to do it, but I've had a conflict every time.

That was fun. I am going back to bed.

A bad cough woke me, then I was weirded out it was so dark at 7 a.m.

Now I have "Kentucky Rain" playing in my head.

It could be worse.

It could be.

I have been awake since 2:30. I am surprisingly awake.

and still annoyed that volunteering is being misrepresented.
