State Champions!

#1 Post by hermillion » Sat Mar 08, 2008 8:41 pm

I teach at George Washington Carver Middle School, which feeds into Booker T. Washington High School. No matter how long it's been since they came through my 8th grade classroom, my students will always be My Babies.

The BTW girls basketball team just won the state 5A championship in an awesome display of athletic ability. This afternoon the BTW boys took 2nd in 5A, losing by one point in a last-second score by the opposing team. Both teams are primarily made up of former Carver kids.

My Babies are fabulous.

Congrats to your kids.

My daughter's HS girls won the Texas 5A state championship last week. The team consists of the two 6' 2" Ogwumike sisters and other pretty good ball players. These two sisters have dominated HS Volleyball and Basketball for the last 2 years. The teams will be much different next year with only one.

I am sure your babies are fabulous, no matter if they win state championships or not.

It is awesome that they won!
