No, not only. But, it is one of those times.peacock2121 wrote:Only when you nail one?Sir_Galahad wrote:Based on tonight's performances I would send Danny and Luke home.
My picks for leaving tomorrow are Asiah and Kady.
I'm insufferable when I nail one.
Just based on how Danny Noriega acted after Simon's comments and then his entire attitude during last night's show, I was really, really, really wanting him to be heading home.minimetoo26 wrote:I wish it had been Kristy instead of Asia'h.
Danny was quite more entertaining than cringe-inducing, but I don't know who I'd send home in his place since the other guys were better singers. Even if I don't really like some of them.
I think that it was just his confidence in singing that Wham! song made me think of Jackman portraying Peter Allen.PlacentiaSoccerMom wrote:Hugh Jackman is way hotter.Appa23 wrote:

I saw Jackman on Broadway doing Peter Allen. It's not the same to me.Appa23 wrote:I think that it was just his confidentce in singing that Wham! song made me think of Jackman portraying Peter Allen.PlacentiaSoccerMom wrote:Hugh Jackman is way hotter.Appa23 wrote:

At my house, Maddie thought that Danny was adorable. She felt a certain degree of empathy for him because she sees the things that the flamboyantly gay boys in Drama deal with on a daily basis.Appa23 wrote:Just based on how Danny Noriega acted after Simon's comments and then his entire attitude during last night's show, I was really, really, really wanting him to be heading home.minimetoo26 wrote:I wish it had been Kristy instead of Asia'h.

The re-interpretation was also brilliant the first time, when Pat Benatar did it that way on Unplugged (Vh1 Classic, represent!). For the second week in a row, Brooke was my favourite. I guess I'd say that Amanda was second best, but I've had a crush on Joan Jett since she was a Runaway and I hate it when other people do her songs, so I was prejudiced against her before she even sang.Appa23 wrote:Just based on how Danny Noriega acted after Simon's comments and then his entire attitude during last night's show, I was really, really, really wanting him to be heading home.minimetoo26 wrote:I wish it had been Kristy instead of Asia'h.

Usually, the "hot" contestants seem to last longer, but it couldn't save Kady and Luke.
I had not seen the guy's show, but they really did do much better than the girls. Many interesting takes on 1980s songs. I think that my wife might actually buy the "Hello" and "Love is a Battlefield" songs. The latter especially was a brilliant re-interpretation of the song.
I agree with HD (!) that the rude little hand gesture probably cost him a lot of the "adorable little gay boy" votes he was previously getting. Giving back a little lip is one thing, but being a rude little prat is another. But I was quite turned off of him anyway because of the myspace video.PlacentiaSoccerMom wrote:At my house, Maddie thought that Danny was adorable. When she saw the Christmas Rant video, it bothered her and she no longer felt like she wanted to call in a vote for him.
