Here in the NY viewing area, we got to see Dave Price be the weatherman for the show before the Early Show (5:00AM - 7:00AM). The guy would do his weather forecast to music. I kid you not, dancing in front of that baord and often singing along to the song while the board was changing it's map.
He was frenetic. I always muted or changed the channel.
Then, he got 'promoted' to the national show and calmed down a bit. I think he just does his crazy stuff on Friday's only.

I predict that Friday's show will end with someone walking away or missing a question. Otherwise, it might be awkward to have a contestant carry over from the sub host to Meredith. Especially if they are showing this week's episodes out of taping order, since I think they shot these after Meredith was finished shooting for the season.
