I finally gave birth to my stone at about 3:07 AM this morning!
After over 5 months of gestation and an intense 36 hour labor period, the damn 5 millimeter kidney stone finally vacated my innards and deposited itself into one of our fine Mecca urinals. It is no wonder that day and a half journey from my bladder to the exit hole was so joyous on my tender parts when I checked out the new arrival with my own eyes and saw it was cocklebur shaped. Men and women alike should be cringing and reaching for their crotches upon hearing that....
I have had much larger stones, but they had to be blasted. This is by far the biggest I've ever passed on my own. I currently have it in my Minnesota shot glass upon the search for a more permanent home for my little bundle of agony....
All gifts and expressions of sympathy will be kindly welcomed....
You are all lucky my camera wouldn't focus on the damn thing too.....

5 millimeters! Wow! (I know how big that is since I've become a better scientist.)
I'm very happy for you that it can't hurt you any more. If I were closer, I would lick your toes to make you feel better.
Love,

That's bringing back very painful memories. Glad it's gone. --Bob

Poor hubby has had a few cockleburs as well. A couple passed (one while he was recovering from a broken hip and pneumonia); one got "stuck" and had to be removed the hard way. I certainly sympathize.

I'm just glad this thread got the avatar not the Supermoon thread
Suitguy is not bitter.
feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive
The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

The blue is the pretty little urinal dish that the urinal mint sits on (Damn, how did I forget to draw the mint!?!!?)
The yellow on the floor doesn't work as well as it does in the Colorado snow, does it......?

Glad it's gone and you're OK. I'm so impressed that you didn't even miss work - Antwon should be too!
I've been very busy this weekend - had to search far and wide for a stock certificate that if not found was going to cost us $2750 to replace. Praise the Lord, I found it tonight while looking for something else, of course! I hope TAH pays me commission on how much I saved him!
Leave tomorrow about 3PM for Birmingham for the procedure known as TSA, or total shoulder arthroplasty for TAH, who I know will be a terrible patient and just might drive me over the edge. We may both be on medication before this is over. We have to be at the hospital at 5AM on Tuesday and hopefully, he will be discharged on Thursday. Pray for me!!
Thanks!

Maybe you'll find a thought or two. Hopefully the hospital will have internet as I am going to have lots of time just sitting around for the next couple of days. Maybe I'll actually post more than once a week.

More TMI from the same restroom, and quite possibly even the same urinal as the Sunday morning version....
Our maintenance guy who cleans the bathrooms walked by me as white as a ghost as I was heading to first break at midnight last night (An impressive feat since the guy is black). He shook his head and told me what he saw when he went into the back mens room a few minutes before and saw some guy standing at the urinal taking a leak....... with his buddy happily holding his wiener for him......
Guess what the talk of the night was? And the two customers are late night regulars. We always wondered about them.......

Not disgusting, but unnerving. I mean, it's great to help a friend out, but that's a bit much...

At least he didn't ask him to hold his purse while he relieved himself, now that's embarrassing....

Erin's bus driver (the one I do Relay For Life with) has brewed up a 6 millimeter stone. This is her third, and she says she'd rather give birth, which she's already done twice also. She's hoping to finish out the year without having to go get blasted...
