Bingo the Brave
Just wanted to brag on Bingohardware. I think he chased away a herd of hefalumps the other night. We started on our walk after a rainy, windy day that had kept him inside until it was dark. He got to the edge of our front yard, then suddenly turned and trotted to the back yard fence. After some serious sniffing, he starting staring intently into the darkness, then...
bark, bark, ARRROOOOO!!! bark, bark, ARRROOOOOO!!!
(repeat for about five minutes, while I struggle to keep from laughing, as I call up my son on the cell phone since he's never heard Bingo howl)
When Bingo calmed down, he walked around the block to the back side, apparently to confirm that the hefalumps had gone. After that, he was satisfied, turned around and came back home and slept soundly.

Those hefalumps should know better than to try entering your yard when you're on guard!

Good boy, Bingo!
A canineperson can never be too careful with hefalumps around!
Casey has kept all the hefalumps out of the yard for more than four years. Today, she figured out how to make the sump pump shut up whenever it comes on by barking at it... It always stops, the barking must have worked...

herjosie is a specialist at elephant dispersal. We haven't seen any in the neighborhood since she came to live here.
We didn't see any before she arrived, but we never mention that to her.

Are you sure that bingohardware wasn't passing along a message as part of the Twilight Bark?mikehardware wrote:Just wanted to brag on Bingohardware. No, the Twilight Bark is from that all-time great classic (or the several all-time great classics) 101 Dalmatians. That is how the dogs of London spread information on the stolen puppies and the evil-doers who took them.peacock2121 wrote:I also feel uninformed that I do not know the references.
Makes me think it is Harry Potter related.
Earendel may be explaining at this very moment, but I had to be the one to put the Dalmatians films among the Great Moments in Cinema.

And I'm grateful that it's coming out on DVD tomorrow - it's one of the classics that's missing from my collection. I did not like the live version.silvercamaro wrote:No, the Twilight Bark is from that all-time great classic (or the several all-time great classics) 101 Dalmatians.
