Slightly?? Yeah, I guess you could say slightly..... Although so far you've only hit like three of my top 20, so there's got to be some crossover in the top 10.

Of those I have in the Top 10, I'd divide them into the following categories....
There are three which I am absolutely positive have to be in your Top 20. This includes tomorrow's avatar as well as the #1....
There are three others which I am reasonably sure are in your Top 20. All of these are in the Top 5....
There are two that I am pretty positive will not be on your Top 20 list.
That leaves two that I have absolutely no clue about whether you rated them or not....
There is one I know of that I'd be willing to bet ranks very high in your countdown that didn't even survive my first cut.... and I'd be willing to bet there's at least one or two more in your Top 10 that don't appear at all (Bowling ES and the spinning avatar both caught me by surprise last year)....

I believe that the honourable count was one. Make note of what specific avatars you're referencing in your surmisals here and I'll do the same and we'll see how it shakes out.
You're probably right about the very high ranking one that didn't even make your honourable cut. That happened like three or four times last time (Halloween and Hobo ES were two more that I don't think blipped your radar last year).
However, my criteria differ somewhat from yours. For one thing, audience reaction has absolutely no effect on my decisions, as half the time I don't even know what it was. Plus nobody's opinion matters to me other than my own. But, as the creator, I can see where that's a big part of your rankings.
On the other hand, backstory is very important to me. I'd say the top two things that influence me are backstory and that little extra toss in that takes something that might otherwise be ordinary and makes it a home run.
And sometimes just the name of the avatar will sway me one way or the other. Hiya, Plasma Partner being the obvious example for this and the 'home run'.
