DoND?
They were supposed to have another episode with 13 $1 million cases last night. So, did Howie give away the million yet?

Good question! I was at Son1111's basketball game. They were down by 16 at one point, came within a point of being tied and lost by 5. It was exciting.MarleysGh0st wrote:They were supposed to have another episode with 13 $1 million cases last night. So, did Howie give away the million yet?

I happened to watch last night and no, still no winner. They had "couple" play the game and they were in pretty good shape with 8 cases left, but alas when down to 3 cases and only 1 of them with the million they took 209,000 grand. They did have a 486,000 offer at one time.MarleysGh0st wrote:They were supposed to have another episode with 13 $1 million cases last night. So, did Howie give away the million yet?
I also think Howie said this was the end of the quest since they have now had 2 players with 13 cases containing the million not win.

Yes, the "Million Dollar Mission" is over, now that sweeps month has come to an end.kusch wrote:I happened to watch last night and no, still no winner. I think in bunco parlance, this is called a "bait and switch".earendel wrote:Yes, the "Million Dollar Mission" is over, now that sweeps month has come to an end.kusch wrote:I happened to watch last night and no, still no winner. I noticed that, as the flip side of this Million Dollar Mission, the Banker's offers as a percentage of expected value went downhill. Normally, with three cases left like this, his offer would be pretty close to the $333K it should be.
But I guess he didn't want anyone walking away while TPTB were being so generous.

That's the Sweeps philosophy in a nutshell. Why do advertisers pay premium rates when the shows and the audiences don't compare to what they have during these special stunts?gsabc wrote:I think in bunco parlance, this is called a "bait and switch".

I think I will redouble my efforts (which as yet are pretty much nonexistent) to get on the show in the November sweeps timeframe...

Well, one person said they didn't have a good vibe, but didn't totally rule it out. That leaves approximately 450 BBs (less MM) who haven't said either way.MarleysGh0st wrote:Anyone say they were going to?Rexer25 wrote:And on a not totally unrelated subject...
Anyone sent in their Duel application yet?
Enough already. It's my fault! Get over it!
That'll be $10, please.
