I'd have cruised through to Q9, and then used ATA on that one and hope they knew it.

BTW- we need a term for those questions where there's a strong second-place spike in the audience poll, and yet the leading answer is correct anyway. Reverse Durst Dursting?

If I had not known, I would have done exactly what she did- the strong second-place spike would have scared me off of trusting the audience.

Better than the I, Robot question was.

The show's "based" in Colorado and you didn't know it?

Alas, not enough science fiction fans in the audience to give her a convincing percentage. I'm guessing the spike for Hubbard only came from his Scientology notoriety, while Robert Heinlein and Arthur C. Clarke just weren't well enough known to get their share of random votes.

Do you think they weren't familiar with the authors' first names, or they didn't notice the punctuation in the answers? It is a period after the I, not a comma. Asimov is the only one of these authors whose first name starts with an I.

I don't know, but I was so focused on the play on the "I, Robot" title that I never noticed the punctuation.
