Really, Ashley? In your deliberations, you almost came out and said it directly--that none of the other choices are known for being ingredients in sushi--but you were afraid to go with that observation?

After Meredith bragged about how smart Ashley was, why didn't she go ahead and pull the trigger on what was basically a "which of these is not like the others" question? She even said that rice was the logical answer. I have a feeling that this was a result of the "double money" giving her such a big bank that she was unwilling to risk it.

Only one of these makes any sense. Rice, final answer.

I hesitate to be mean, since if I ever get my chance on the show I wouldn't want others to be so to me... but i'm about to burst...
that was the stupidest move I can remember ever seeing (well, except for the following guy, who blew his apparently much-needed bank on a guess). And, then her sing-songy "that's alright" just made me more disgusted. This whole episode was just downright depressing.

This is very disappointing. I loved how, on Friday's episode, she repeatedly pulled the trigger after acknowledging that she wasn't sure of her answer.
I'm trying to remember whether her husband was her on-air companion (I haven't yet watched yesterday's show in full). I'm wondering whether they had a talk between taping days during which he prevailed on her to simply take what she's got and get out unless she was absolutely positive. --Bob

Yes, her husband was her on-air companion. What we don't know is how much time elapsed between the two tapings and whether the two could have had any chance to discuss her game play.

Last week was double-your-money week, so I infer that all five of last week's episodes comprised a single taping day. If I'm right, then they must have had at least overnight to discuss game play. --Bob

any of the other choices. --Bob

Thursday and Friday's episodes of that week taped on a separate day. I do know, though, that Ashley had a very long lunch break between her episodes.

Weird - they weren't taped the day after your taping. Those five shows were all standard shows, with the last one being Noam Osband's first show. The other four haven't aired yet.
I would guess last Thursday's, last Friday's and this Monday's shows were taped together. What taped during your afternoon session then? Celebrity episodes?
