I forget whose doggie it was who would eat the peanut butter off the pill -- I think it was SC's -- but fortunately Annie showed no such hesitation and swallowed the whole thing. I never did try it on a cat. All mine were willing to let me open their mouths and have the pill popped into the back of their throat. I do not guarantee this method for an unwilling cat.

I solved the "lick off the peanut butter and spit out the pill" problem. For BeBe, I am making tiny peanut butter sammiches, each about one inch square, with the bread molded around the pill. Everybody knows that bread is people food, so it must be yummy, and the whole thing disappears down the doggie gullet.

Good plan! Well done.

She knows she's still swallowing that yucky pill, but now she gets a sammich out of the deal.

There must have been a Negotiation 101 elective in her Doggie Preschool.
