Question 1 - 5 Thy Name is Vanity
It is said that what ancient world leader tried to hide his baldness by using a combover and wearing a laurel wreath?
A. Alexander the Great
B. Julius Caesar
C. Genghis Khan
D. Montezuma
I remember illustrations always showing Julius Caesar always showing him with a laurel wreath, so that's what I'll say.
Question 2 - 1 Talking Animals
Someone who repeatedly tries to revive interest in a hopeless issue is said to be “beating a” what?
A. Sleeping dog
B. Busy beaver
C. Wild hog
D. Dead horse
Here's a Q that was made for this bored. :D
Question 5 - 4 Extreme Foods
Farmer Gerald Fowler asked people to sign a waiver before eating his curry dish containing the Naga Viper, one of the world’s what?
A. Hottest chili peppers
B. Fattiest bacons
C. Sweetest oranges
D. Sourest lemons
Can't remember where I read this -- maybe right here. I'll go check in a minute.
Question 6 - 9 Sweet Ride
The official Presidential limousine is a heavily-armored Cadillac that the Secret Service has nicknamed what?
A. The Anvil
B. The Beast
C. The Iceberg
D. The Black Widow
Same as Q5.
Question 7 - 2 Jerk Government
Describing a government that exploits its citizens, a kleptocracy literally means a ruling order of what?
A. Liars
B. Savages
C. Thieves
D. Bullies
This one seemed easy -- kleptomania is a fairly common disorder.
Question 8 - 3 Raise Your Glass
Though you might not drink it a black tie gala, what beer is known as “The Champagne of Beers”?
A . Guinness
B. Miller High Life
C. Pabst Blue Ribbon
D. Bud Light
I must be old. "Miller High Life, the champagne of bottled beers -- sparkling, flavorful, distinctive."
Question 9 - 8 Musical Instruments
Brought to the West from China, the tam-tam is a large version of what musical instrument?
A. Cello
B. Gong
C. Harp
D. Triangle
Cellos are big, harps are big, that leaves gong and triangle. I'll say gong.

"Michael" seems like the obvious answer; although the popularity of names changes over time I think it usually remains in the top 25. But if I'd been at the Hot Podium I'd have used a JTQ.
