This guy rubbed me the wrong way. I feel like he was trying to be funny in the vein of Tom Spencer, but Jerry's personality just came across a bit weird to me. IDK.
Also, just wanna give a shout-out to the transcript team-- love that you guys put the original, pre-randomization levels next to the questions!

Didn't know anything about French spies, so I would've jumped... No idea about 'Tammany Hall' (I would've ATA) or the 'Herb of the Year' (jump!) (what the heck regarding the latter! That's a really odd, out there original $25K question)--

I could see why TPTB chose him for the show; although his personality grated on me the audience seemed to love him.

I know it isn't garlic but aside from that I can't rule anything out so I JTQ.

somebody is channeling the 1961 Cincinnati Reds, pennant winners with pinch-hitter extra-ordinaire Jerry Lynch.
Maybe even better than John Blanchard.

A - Trivial Pursuit
B - Balderdash
C - Taboo

Scrabble fans wouldn't have a problem with this one -- or today's contestant, either.
Question #4 (Not That Guy - Level 4)
Indianapolis lawyer Mark S. Zuckerberg says he gets about a dozen calls per day complaining about what website?
A - YouTube
B - Facebook
C - Google
D - Twitter
How about E, all of them. I had no idea. Actually, you get this one if you know who Zuckerberg is.
Question #6 (Fake Plastic Trees - Level 5)
Monopalms are built to look like 50-foot palm trees, but they're actually what in disguise?
A - weather vanes
B - cell phone towers
C - radar guns
D - satellite dishes
That won't work around here.
Question #8 (Garden Variety - Level 10)

A - oregano
B - garlic
C - horseradish
D - dill
I would have skipped this one if I had any JTQs available, but I would have gotten it wrong if I'd guessed. With garlic, you use the bulb, and with horseradish, you use the root. I wouldn't call either an herb. Oh well.

My hunch was oregano. I was eliminating horseradish for the same reason. Imagine my surprise to learn that the definition doesn't restrict itself to the leafy parts of the plant.

http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/herb
1: a seed-producing annual, biennial, or perennial that does not develop persistent woody tissue but dies down at the end of a growing season

2: a plant or plant part valued for its medicinal, savory, or aromatic qualities

I've known rusticana was horseradish for years.

Can't remember when I learned it- may go back to when I was a kid, and my next-door neighbor used to hold contests, quizzing us about various different plant species.

I hardly remember anything she taught me, however.

1. easy.
2. easy for me. I read somewhere that Baker spent a lot of time in Paris during this period to escape racism in the U.S.A.
3. easy
4. easy
5. The only name I recognized was Hu Jintao, the president of China. This fact made it easy for me.
6. I don't know so I either ATA or JTQ.
7. very easy.
8. JTQ. I have zero idea.
I'm just a game show nerd.
