Dr Oz

#1 Post by peacock2121 » Tue Feb 19, 2008 3:31 pm

just told a wife, who wants to quit smoking and have her husband quit as well:

regarding her husband succeeding:

"You have the ultimate power - you can deny him sex."

I couldn't believe it.

That's so wrong.

Sex shouldn't be used as a weapon.

And now from Pat Benater

You really do know how to strut that stuff (strut that stuff)
You really do know how to act tough (act tough)
Your body's just like a centerfold
A fantasy (a fantasy), anyone would want to hold
Chorus:

Stop using sex as a weapon
Stop using sex as a weapon
You know you're already my obsession
Stop (stop) using sex as a weapon
Love is more than a one way reflection
Stop (stop) using sex as a weapon

With looks that kill and a mind that's twisted (twisted)
I don't know why i can't resist it (resist it)
I tell myself look the other way (other way)
When you want me to (when you want me to)
I, i always stay

(chorus)

You play with desire like it was a toy (toy)
How much affection can you destroy?
You wrap my heart around your little finger
Sex, sex, sex, sex, sex, sex, sex as a weapon

Stop using sex as a weapon
Stop using sex

(chorus)

Stop using sex as a weapon
Stop using sex as a weapon
Stop using sex
Stop using sex as a weapon
Stop using sex (stop using sex, stop using sex)
Sex as a weapon, as a weapon
Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

There is no better way to breed resentment and bitterness in a marriage than for a wife to withhold sex from her husband or vice versa.

Dr. Oz is a moron.

I sincerely hope he was joking - either way, he should know better. No sex sucks.

He's Oprah's latest "expert " doc. Dr. Mehmet Oz. He's okay and I missed the advice today (how ridiculous). He usually shows up in scrubs and bare feet in those backless black shoe thingies - he looks stupid in my opinion but most people like him that way.

I make it a point to tune in Oprah when Dr Oz is on.

He is stupid looking in his scrubs and those dumb shoes.

He does make medical issues seem simple to understand and explains things in a matter of fact way that I can get my brain around.

He will tell people exactly what their behavior is doing to their body and how if they stop that behavior or start a new type of behavior, how they will help their body.

I also like how uncomfortable Oprah gets sometimes. Yesterday, they had this lady who has multiple orgasms and wants to know if it's harmful. She said she had 10 - 18 each time. Oprah was hysterical.

Dr Oz is the guy that has people looking at their poop to make sure it is shaped like an S.

If I had that many orgasms in a row, I wouldn't care if it was harmful.

I never watch Oprah; I'm usually leaving work about the time she comes on. I have only a vague idea of who Dr. Oz is.

That said, WTF? A few years ago, there was an ad for Welbutrin (Buspar) as a quit-smoking aid. The side effects mentioned included dry mouth & insomnia -- but no sexual side effects!

Can you imagine? Sitting up all night with insomnia & dry-mouth, but horny as hell -- spouse withholding sex -- Jeez, I think I'd just as soon SMOKE!

Assuming I don't light up between now & April 19, it'll be 19 years since I've smoked (one day at a time.) My husband wasn't able to quit, but he immediately stopped smoking in the house, and cut way down. If I'm really honest with myself -- had he been the one to quit, I don't think I could have done that for him. Note: I never asked him to quit or cut back, or even to go outside. He's just that considerate. He still smokes, maybe 1/2 pack a day, outside. And I consider that to be his business.
