Is anybody here a web designer?

#1 Post by starfish1113 » Tue Feb 19, 2008 12:15 pm

I'm looking for a web designer and the first two I've talked to haven't quite been what I'm looking for.

Tracey and I have taken the plunge and bought out the a portion of the nutrition counseling business that she works for, so I guess that makes us small business owners. And, I guess that means we need a website.

If anybody here does that, or knows somebody they can recommend, let me know.

Thanks!

I don't know if you or he want to work long distance, but the guy redesigning my company's website seems to be pretty good. No idea how much he charges, and I have no one else to compare him to. Here's his company website:

www.madlab.tv

I will try to remember to ask my niece, the book designer, if she knows someone. I recall that she was looking for someone similar a while back.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

My son's a sophmore at Tennessee Tech University majoring in web design. He might be able to help.

No, but I've got this pet spider who does some incredible things...

Sorry, I couldn't help myself. I think you have incredible courage and confidence to take over a small business. I hope you continue to make the right decisions as your business grows and prospers.

And don't forget the discounts to your smart-alec BBs...
Enough already. It's my fault! Get over it!

That'll be $10, please.

I had the same thought, but couldn't figure out how to express it humorously - thanks, Rexer.

MacRae offered his help to me a while back when I was campaigning, and he actually did a website for a campaigning BB a long while back. It was very well done.

Ear, if you don't mind, I'm gonna email this to my wife. She never laughed at my jokes even before her stroke. I just want to show her that occasionally I can be funny (at least in someone else's eyes).

By all means, feel free. Interestingly there's a discussion on the J! board about whether trivia geeks have "an exceptionally good sense of humor".

Not according to my wife...

First of all -

Congratulations!

I am so happy for both of you. I just know this will work out for you and that you will have your dreams comes true.

Secondly -

Ape Boy, if you recall Beedums talking about him, is an independent web designer. He is patient and listens. He is kind and generous. You and your wife will like working with him. He is in Butler, Pa. (or somewhere close to that)

If you want to contact him, or if you want me to find out if he thinks he might work well with someone from long ditances, let me know.

Write to me at galahad2k at gmail dot com.

I can recommend someone. The one that designed my website did a terrific job - and they are VERY patient which was a requisite with me as I was very demanding when it came to this. ;)

This is the company that one of my sisters works for. They put together ecommerce webpages for large and small businesses. Either you design it yourself, or they can help you:
I'm not sure if this is more than what you are looking for.
