top o' the mornin'®

#1 Post by earendel » Tue Feb 19, 2008 7:12 am

A glorious weekend was followed by a nasty Monday as cold weather returned to the Ohio Valley - snow showers are predicted for later in the week but no one has been willing to venture a guess as to any accumulation.

My application for a slot on "Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?" has been completed and mailed; now we'll see what happens.

I am surprised they use mail. I fully expected it would be e-mail.

The ability to put the correct postage on the envelope may have already made you too smart to be on the show.

That's what is so odd - I would have expected e-mail also. But they want a photograph and maybe they were concerned about different formats, etc. When I first went to the site, I was really expecting an online application, not a "dead tree" type.
