I took the test on Monday June 13, passed, did the video interview, got the card June 29. I didn't want to jinx myself by posting here before the card arrived, but in the interests of large sample sizes am posting now.

The preliminary interview was with a young blondish-with-a-streak-of-red woman and I thought it went ok but no better, as she rarely lifted her head from her papers, so I was surprised to have been sent to wait for the video interview, as I had not made it that far before (this was maybe my third attempt since the video thing was introduced). Possibly, as there were only seven or eight of us who passed, the bar to make it to round two was lower than usual, as they did not have to worry about the interviews running into the next test session. The taped part was with a young bespectacled (sorry, I just love that word) brown-haired guy and I thought it did go well, but evidently it was not well enough. He did ask while we were walking to the taping area if I had tried out before, but it may have just for the sake of filling the ten or fifteen seconds, and anyway I had already copped to the fact on the application form. I said I tried to try out once a year, which struck me as reasonably unobsessive and undesperate.

That's about it. I guess I'll see you all next year.

Went to Open Auditions June 30. Passed written test.

Didn't go to producer interview for the problematic reason that I was a contestant last year.

Got lots of pencils, two magnet, and a t-shirt.

And I was recognized. But they didn't really say anything and they let me take the test anyway.

My sister passed the test and did the video interview Friday, June 24 - in case you're tracking non-members progress also.

I wonder if it would be worth trying again this year if I had the opportunity. Given Peyton's experience, probably not. On the other hand, I'd hate to feel like that's it, forever. I coulda been a contendah!
