Lyrically Speaking - 2/13/08

#1 Post by Oral B Roberts » Wed Feb 13, 2008 6:39 am

It's sad that we live in a world full of sinners, which greatly displeases Our Lord. But He has entrusted me to help Him rid the world of sin by collecting huge pennance checks from those who don't heed His word. Some sins are more costly than others, but there is one sin that is very near and dear to my heart that I personally know the horrifying affects it can have on the unclean soul. So when the Almighty told me to write an LS game for that hellbound demon LB, I chose 12 songs that always remind me of that wonderful.... uh, very egregious sin for which I always demand checks with lots of trailing zeroes...

1 point for the title, 1 point for the artist, and $500,000 in the name of my ministry for anyone who dares to take the name of the great J.J. Cale in vain....

1. Cover me when I run
Cover me through the fire
Something knocked me out' the trees
Now I'm on my knees

2. I'm sad but I'm laughing
I'm brave but I'm chickenshit
I'm sick but I'm pretty baby

3. I love myself
I want you to love me
When I'm feeling down
I want you above me
I search myself
I want you to find me
I forget myself
I want you to remind me

4. Do I wanna go out with a lion's roar
Huh, yea, I wanna go south n get me some more
Hey, they say that a stitch in time saves nine
They say I better stop - or I'll go blind

5. You sittin' over there starin' in space a-while
People are dancin', dancin' all over the place
But you shouldn't worry about things thatcha can't control
A-come on girl while the night is young

6. Wind me up
Put me down
Start me off and watch me go
I'll be running circles around you sooner than you know

7. If I looked all over the world
And there's every type of girl
But your empty eyes
Seem to pass me by

8. I, I love the colorful clothes she wears
And the way the sunlight plays upon her hair
I hear the sound of a gentle word
On the wind that lifts her perfume through the air

9. Talk to me, tell me your name
You blow me off like it's all the same
You lit a fuse, and now I'm ticking away
Like a bomb... yeah baby

10. Oh it's in color
Your hair is brown
Your eyes are hazel
And soft as clouds
I often kiss you when there's no one else around

11. Put your left foot out, keep it all in pace
Work your way right into my face

12. When I was young
I never needed anyone
And makin’ love was just for fun
Those days are gone

This was a wank song? But this is from when I was a kid, which means it's when the Jacksons were cute young boys in matching outfits with choreography, not freaks, wife beaters and egomaniacs!
