Did you know that your photo was used to promote a public radio show? Any idea how that happened?

Yes I did not see the thread since I've been 'out of it' with the flu the past three days.TheConfessor wrote:John, you might not have seen this thread, so check it out:

It was one of about 150 photos I posted from Game Show Congress 2006 (I can get a little shutter-happy at events like that and take pictures of things like scoreboards and game screens as well as the people) Most of my Flickr photos including that one have a "Creative Commons" tag as I allowed non-commericial use by others.
Taking a quick glance, Bob Harris appears to be the one in common, as he is mentioned in the article and he is the "Bob H." on the scoreboard.

Yeah, but how would "This American Life" know anything about your photos? And does posting something on flickr.com give anyone the right to use it without your knowledge? I guess so, since you specifically authorized it in this case.jacorbett70 wrote:Yes I did not see the thread since I've been 'out of it' with the flu the past three days.TheConfessor wrote:John, you might not have seen this thread, so check it out:

They could have done a keyword search on Flickr. Perhaps Bob H. might have referred them. On Flickr, you have the choice of whether or not to allow others to use the photos, and if use is allowed, whether to limit to non-commercial use or require attribution if used.TheConfessor wrote: Yeah, but how would "This American Life" know anything about your photos?
