Talk about strikes and boycotts usually wind up being all talk and little action.
However, sellers reassessing Ebay's cost structure and looking for alternatives is a very real possibility. The thing that always stopped me was that any site that I looked at as an alternative to ebay had so little traffic on it that very few people would actually see what I had up for sale. Low fees don't mean much if you don't get any customers.
The atmosphere has changed now and a site that's willing to take a hit for a while with low fees could prosper in the end.
