Ack! I thought NY audiences knew everything about Broadway!

I wouldn't have asked them, though. I would have said Beauty and the Beast because I know it was ahead of Lion King, and I never heard of Little Mermaid or Mary Poppins on Broadway.

Mary Poppins was a relatively recent attempt to cash in on a known entity opening on Broadway in 2006. Came through Atlanta last year on tour.
