Steve Hallock
Los Angeles, CA

Steve has a baby boy on the way so he needs to score big on Millionaire. He's eager to play. Meredith asks if he's ready for the new baby; he replies that he thinks so but there's no way to be certain. The best advice he's received is to get lots of sleep now.

Question 4 I had seen options B & D in 3D in the theatres, so I knew that it wasn't either one of them. I've never seen A or C, so now would've been a good time for Double Dip if it was still around. I'd have to use Ask The Audience, they'd probably know this one...

Question 5 I kind of thought about Iwo Jima, but I would not have been too sure. I would've jumped. Question 6 I didn't know either. I know the symbols for the top of the chart (H, He, etc) but I couldn't figure that one out for the life of me! Jump again!

7-9 I knew no problem. No lifelines left for me, so it'd all be luck of the draw that Question 10 is something I know.

This was question #10, unrandomized, but it legitimately could be a $1 million question. You've got to go pretty far down the table to find some of these:

V (Vanadium)
Y (Yttrium) and Yb (Ytterbium)
Pd (Palladium), Cd (Cadmium), Dy (Dysprosium), Ds (Darmstadtium)

Lots of really familiar elements on that list! :P

V for vanadium, and D & Y are eliminated because Dy is the symbol for dysprosium.

It bothers me that I actually knew this one.

All in all he did pretty well considering that he burned two lifelines early. Still, if you need them, you need them.
