The couple attended an audition at Medieval Times in Schaumburg last August, and two weeks later they found out they made the cut. The taping was held in New York in October.
There's a minor spoiler in the article, so be warned.
And another one in this article.

Here's another article about Christian and Kim:
http://www.gainesville.com/article/2008 ... /1002/NEWS
This week, the popular game show has paired with Brides.com to air a special edition called "Wedding Week," in which engaged couples play as a team and are allowed to discuss the questions before agreeing on one "final answer."
"Some of my friends said, 'That's great for you because you are such a trivia buff,' " said Higgins, an account manager in Tampa.
"When we lived in Gainesville, I even used to go to Trivia Night at Mellow Mushroom (a pizzeria on W. University Avenue)."
A real trivia buff? This team might do well.

Speaking of trivia.......
I managed to nail the final question in our Wednesday night bar trivia, worth a cool fifty dollars.
The category, history.
The question: the first female president of this country was elected in 1990.

The Meister plays a song during the answering period. Sometimes the song is a hint, sometimes not.
He was playing Mrs. Robinson by the Lemonheads.

With that hint, I'll say Ireland, final answer.

All I can say is, "Cue the ominous organ music." It seems that whenever anything is made of a contestant being a trivia buff, it's a prelude to disaster. I hope I'm wrong, but just in case, you heard it here first.

Marley is correct. No other teams got it correct, even with the hint. They seemed to have confused president and prime minister. Oh, Ireland does have a prime minister or Taoiseach (that's for tanstaafl) and the president is largely a figurehead.
I believe in the usefulness of useless information.

FALSE!
This country didn't even HAVE a presidential election in 1990!

Here's an article about one more Wedding Week pair, Bethany and Troy Mihalik.
http://tinyurl.com/yqjmmh
According to press releases, the couple became engaged in April of last year and taped their episodes of “Millionaire” on Oct. 18. They married two days later.
Interesting timing. Did they have that wedding date planned in advance and just squeeze in the taping schedule as an engaged couple or did they do so well that they decided to move up the wedding?
And, for gsabc to consider while he's writing his wedding blog, can you imagine if BD and FSIL had a SyndieBAM taping
two days before the big event?

I was at Borders last night and they had a sign on the door that read, "All Calendars $1." I thought about going to the calendar area, taking every one of them and going up to the counter and laying a dollar bill down.

First of all, it wouldn't happen. BD has no desire whatever to be in the hot seat. Behind me in a companion seat would be her choice of appearance on the show.
However, if it
was possible and the opportunity came along,
they would be there with GW and I would be home as PAF and taking care of the last-minute logistics! Wouldn't even think twice about it. Might have an argument with GW about it, but there would be no freakin' way I'd let them miss it.
Anything less than this that might call them away two days before the event would be subject to much more intense scrutiny.

I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.
