Sounds like Casey isn't the one who asked if a "friend" could sleep over.

Just "Plasma Partner" would have only been top 10 material at best. But "Hiya, Plasma Partner" was a definite #1........

Nope, she likes being MissPrincessTopDoggie 24-7.

I can't wait to see the rest of the Fanny list, but I would be surprised if any of the remaining four were not in your Top 20.....

#4: "Crawlspace Fanny"

Debuted: 7/16/10

Image

gsabc asked why a contractor he had working on his bathroom was giving him problems about putting a completion date in their contract, and that opened the door for Fanny to post her toilet advice, which brought up what she loved and didn't love about her old bungalow, the minus side of which was perfectly depicted in this avatar. Crawlspace Fanny is this year's "Hiya, Plasma Partner", storming into the Top 5 of the countdown on the strength of audience reaction alone. I admit, I do like it... I mean, how can you not like seeing Fanny get down and dirty trying to light a pilot light? But on my own, it would have just rated an honourable. Incidentally, the same post that spawned Crawlspace Fanny also gave us the wonderful cinderblock analogy regarding how crummy new toilets are.... which could have led to a Cinderblock Fanny avatar had Fanny herself not already provided her own recycled avatar for that occasion....

I don't know which avatars are left in the running, but I'm sure there must be one more featuring Matias to root for!

This sentence is a masterpiece. Oscar Wilde, Samuel Clemens, H.L. Mencken, and Oscar Levant are in literary heaven arm-wrestling for the right to claim one of them thought of it first.

I concur, this a classic of the Bored Experience
Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

Sorry, Sam, you were never a fave....honourable mention maybe, but definitely not top 5 material.

PS OMG, did I ever tell you about the intercrural story, or is it just a crazy coincidence that you just casually whipped that out? Since how many people even know what that means in the first place...... (I'm sure those odds will have increased considerably in the next 24 hours.....ha!)
