I have always thought that 'blasphemy' meant something like insulting God, or speaking about God in an insulting way, or misusing the name of God, something like that. And Pastor Fireball is complaining about people who, apparently, were blasphemous about him. Nelly came back recently to announce that because of all the mean things that were said about him, he had a heart attack and almost died.
People doubt this.
Am I close?
The only thing I'm wondering is what was the gist of the comments directed at Nelly that caused him to keel over. They must have been really outlandish and hurtful.
