I saw that kiss on television when I was about 15 or 16 -- just about the right age, I think. Wow! I still remember it even though I only saw it once. She was fabulous.
My favorite role for her was actually The Chalk Garden -- she was a billiant actress. Also, Night of the Iguana. I first saw that when I was a senior in college and quoted her for a while, although it never quite came out the same as when she said it -- "Nothing human digusts me, unless it's unkind or violent."
And, of course, An Affair to Remember and The King and I.
When I looked up her movie list, I came across The Black Narcissus, and now I want to see that too.

No, darn it. It's not even available where I live. I'll keep an eye on the schedule and unless it's on at some ungodly hour, I'll watch it over at my friend's house with the 8 zillion channels.mellytu74 wrote:Sprots --
Do you get Turner Classic Movies on cable?
If so, I am sure that there will be a Deborah Kerr retrospective coming shortly. And that Black Narcissus will be on it.
