Okay, a math question that is also asking for one basic bit of trivia, "approximately how far is it from NYC to LA?" But, Stephanie, why would you ever ask Dan for his hunch about the final answer? Math answer don't come from hunches! Maybe you need a hunch about the distance, then you work the question out. There's no clock, this season, so you can take your time! Then, once that gives you an answer, you could even work the problem backwards, for the the other three choices, to see if the distances those answers imply seem any more reasonable than the one Dan started with. But you don't just guess!

Dang. I've heard of this as the Bodhi Tree but I didn't recall its species. I'm not sure what I'd have done at the Hot Podium.

When in doubt, go with fig. Just like the Elizabeth princess/queen question...

3MPH is 72 miles per day, so assuming 3000 miles for the distance, it's 41-2/3, rounding to 40. That's a pretty tough question to try and do in one's head.

Tough? Without the clock and with the closest wrong answers being 50% and 150% of the right one?

Tough for the average person - having to multiply 3X24, then know the distance across the country and do the division.

Not if you take another approach. Assume 3,000 miles. At 3mph, that's 1,000 hours. 4 Days is roughly 100 hours, thus 40 is close enough.

Bruce Jenner also appears on the reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians on the E! cable network. He's married to Kris, the mother of the Kardashian girls. So a young TV viewer could get this question right without knowing anything about sports.
