It's hard to believe this is already Week 6 of the Winter LS, and so our 6th edition of Match Game Monday. The following 12 songs can be divided up into 6 pairs based on some common theme. A couple of warnings about this game. First of all, several of the matches rely on the artist, so beware of cover versions (I tried to choose songs that are only connected famously with one artist, but then again, J.J. Cale and Carl Perkins sometimes say otherwise). Second, there is one song that could theoretically be matched to two different songs, but the songs will all match up correctly only one way, so you have to have the right match to get credit....

1 point for the title, 1 point for the artist, and 1 point for each correct match....

I'm ashamed to know this, but I saw some contestant sing it on the Miss America pageant. Angels, I've heard it sung by Jessica Simpson but they said on the pageant it was by Robbie Williams. Don't know if he ever recorded it, but irrelevant for matching...

On Houston, I'm stumped, but isn't there an artist named Cisco Houston?

On L.A., I can't see Dodgers, Lakers or Clippers, and Angels aren't really a Los Angeles team. So it must be Kings.

The theme was cities and the names of pro sports teams that play there.

1-10 - Philadelhpia Eagles (NFL)

2-9 - Houston Rockets (NBA)

3-12 - Miami Heat (NBA)

4-6 - New York Jets (NFL)

5-7 - San Francsico Giants (MLB) (Yes, this game was made up back when you'd have been laughed at if you said the Giants would win the Super Bowl, and the timing of this game was completely coincidental. But that match was a no-go because I had to work the poor, forgotten Jets in....)

8-11 - Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (Yes, I hate the LAA name as much as everyone else, and still refer to them as the Anaheim Angels, but all's fair in LS...)
