Pepsi's Deaf commecial
Scheduled to broadcast during the Super Bowl pre-game nonsense.

I'm normally a Coke drinker, but I'll probably buy a case or two of Pepsi products because of this. Truly excellent commercial.
BTW, do not adjust your speaker volume. It really is silent.

Very nice indeed. It won't make me go out and buy Pepsi products (although elwing is a big fan of Code Red Mountain Dew), but I think it's very thoughtful of Pepsico to do this. And it's funny, too.gsabc wrote:Scheduled to broadcast during the Super Bowl pre-game nonsense.

I still have a fondness for some of the early budweiser "horses playing football" commercials.
For a series of commercials there have been a number of good ones.

It had been on ABC news last week. They showed the whole commercial and had interviews with people who represent the Deaf community explaining that it's an old joke among the deaf. So maybe it was lacking a bit in logic, but the idea came from the right place...earendel wrote:Did I miss this commercial? I don't remember seeing it last night at all.

My vote for best Super Bowl spot goes to the Jackie Moon Bud Light ad:silvercamaro wrote:Super commercial -- and Pepsi will win the next-morning competition for "Commercials Talked About Most."
I'd say that's a win-win.
(It will not replace the all-time favorite in my heart, though. That spot still belongs to the cat herders of several seasons ago.)

In part:
Out of all the ads, which one would you want to see on a YouTube? Or send to a friend?A great commercial is memorable, not corny or sappy, actually funny when it is trying to be funny, appeals to a broad audience, product focused and has people talking about it afterwards, and not in a bad way like the Sales Genie ads. I think out of all this year's crop of commercials, the Jackie Moon commercial does this the best.
So many of the commercials this year were pretty tired.
