Okay, a new favorite ad

The baby making a trade on E*Trade.

Oh, BTW, this game sucks to the max. I turned on the SuperBowl and a soccer game broke out...

Maybe it'll be the first Super Bowl in which the point spread was higher than the total points scored....

Hey, now! There was more scoring in the MLS Cup last year than in the Super Bowl so far.

And the MLS Cup was over in 2 hours.

Points well taken!

Some of the ads were really clever this year.

Wow. I thought they were particularly weak.

Liked the Coca-cola balloons and Frist & Carville.

Other than that, I was unimpressed.

The E=Trade baby was very funny,

The rest were just not worth anything.

My tjree favorites were the FedEx commercial (the one with the carrier pigeons), the Doritos commercial with the giant mouse, and the Bud Light commercial with the cave men ("Wheel suck!"). Aside from those, the commercials seemed pretty average.

The wine and cheese party was a little funny.

The Carville/Frist Coke commercial was pretty good as well.

They had a Florida Anti-Smoking commercial where a kid is playing catch alone, as XXXXX of children are fatherless due to cigarettes.

The people who think they know liked the run-away balloons where Charlie Brown gets the coke.

I thought it was in poor taste given the death from run-away balloons at the Macy's Day Parade.

Frist & Carville were good, but I didn't recognize who Frist was. The E-Trade baby was OK, but I could have done without the first one where he spits up. Most of the others were too juvenile for my tastes, although I'll give an honorable mention to "Can opener suck!"

My favorite in a lackluster crop: The Budweiser Clydesdale "Rocky" commercial. And I'd like to think that was Tigger acting as his coach. :)

I thought they were all mediocre at best. The Bud "Rocky" was a 30-second commercial stretched to a minute. I hate all babies as adults commercials (including the old Bob ones, whoever they were for). The Coke balloons was cute, but only because it was Charlie Brown at the end. And four or five years after their first commercial, I have yet to figure out what business GoDaddy is in. Unless it's breast implants.

If I had to vote, I'd pick the PSA on drug use, with the pusher waiting by the corner phone whose business is bad because the kids are getting high on the parents' prescription meds.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

I'm grateful that New York had a new anti-smoking commercial and didn't repeat that one with the amputee I've already seen a zillion times too often.

O.K. here is my new favorite ad.

Eli Manning sending the game ball to the 1972 Dolphins, who are living in "Perfectville, population 1."

Tee Hee Hee!

(Oh, it was a Reebok commercial, I think.)

Me, too. I was happy to see that Budweiser recognizes that their traditional theme -- dalmatians and Clydesdales -- still appeals to a large segment of the public.

The commercials were beyond horrible this year. Made me glad I didn't spend too much effort trying to watch them....

That amputee is still smoking.

He is afraid his meds will get screwed up if he takes away the nicotine and then he will die.

Addiction will have us buy so many thoughts.

Maddie and I loved this commerical. We rewound it and watched it several times.

The Apple commericial about the laptop that fits in an envelope was pretty good. There weren't a lot of bells and whistles, but they made their point.
