Let's Go Giants!

#1 Post by traininvain » Sun Feb 03, 2008 12:47 pm

Might not be back here to post later, so I'll throw it all out here now.

It's been an uphill battle to get here, so why shouldn't it be an upmountain battle against one of the greatest teams of all-time?

I look at it this way, it's all gravy. I never expected them to make it to the playoffs, never expected them to beat Dallas or Green Bay, so I suppose that I can't expect them to defeat New England either. Hey it has worked for me the last two games, so I'll stick with it.

No predictions here, just support for my favorite football team, The New York Giants.

Go Big Blue!

I can't decide who I want to win. I don't like the Patriots' Coach, but I don't have anything against their players. I can't stand all the "best team ever" talk because I can think of at least 4 or 5 other teams I think were better.

BUT, it was pointed out somewhere that displacing the '72 Dolphins would be a good thing because those guys have been insufferable about their record.

At this point, I want it to be a good game that isn't decided until late in the 4th Quarter.

I will root for the Giants because I don't want to see the Patriots win everything.

Hate to burst your bubble, but I wouldn't include any Broncos teams in the top-5 all-time. Maybe top-10.

Don't really have a dog in this fight....maybe this year isn't a good time to use that phrase.... but, I wouldn't mind if both teams scores ended in 4 every quarter. :o  :o  :o

As a Cowboys fan I want the Giants to win, but I don't see how that's possible. A Giants win would be a bigger upset that the Jets over the Colts in Super Bowl III. At that time the Jets played in a rival league, and I don't think anyone really knew how good they were.

I just got through watching the Mavericks lose to the Pistons. At least one Dallas team played today...

If anyone is interested in listening/seeing the control room for the Super Bowl:

tvmonkeys.com

they might ask for a password-foxsports.

The main window you want to watch/listen is the control room. Mute the other windows. The chat room is chaotic, a mixture of in the know folks and newbies asking questions.

oh, and there's about a 7 second delay between the control room and what appears on the screen.

I am still giddy.

I even stayed up to watch all of the hoopla after.

Giddy, giddy, giddy
