Super Bowl Menu
This year, I can plan my own menu.
What should I have?
I want goo and salt and deliciousness - not healthy.

We found a couple of dip recipes that we are bringing to the party.
One of them involves hot and mild sausage, cooked, drained and crumbled up in cheese.
A couple of years ago, our friends' SIL made a cheese ball with dried beef and shaped it like a football.
I have always found seven-layer dip to be a winner.
AND popcorn. Lots of popcorn.

We must be channeling, or you're channeling Jeff. He stocked up on cheddar pepper poppers, popcorn, frozen chicken thingies of some sort which is just communist since he grills wings all the time.
You made me think of making stuffed mushrooms-cream cheese, cooked crumbled sausage, parmesan, garlic, whatever-heat up a bit.
Or, something sweet and salty-the saltines on the cookie sheet, covered with melted butter, sugar and chocolate chips. It makes that flat, hard toffee-like stuff? Holy crap I'm so making that.

Well, then

Holy crap - wish I were close enough to come over to watch the game.
We were in Sam's Club yesterday. I found a couple who had such horridly horrible stuff in their cart. I told them I wanted to come to their house for the game. They told me this was their second trip!
They are rooting for the Giants!
They invited me.

I have made this before.kayrharris wrote:Artichoke dip....
One can of artichokes - chopped
1 cup mayo
1 cup grated parmesan (not the dry powder stuff)
Mix together, back at 350 for about 20 minutes.
Serve with Triscuits. Yum!
I cut the mayo in half the second time I made it. I liked it better that way.
