It's very easy to run out of gas after a week there! I was just teasing because I know our last full day is usually catch-up day to do everything we missed or want to do again, but we never can wake up in time for early entry. In over two dozen visits I've NEVER gone to an early opening, just every late closing.

That's a shame. If you get to the early opening, you can actually get on some of the popular attractions while the lines are still short. In the late evenings, everybody's already there, so the attractions that they keep open have lines as long as ever!

Steve and Mini-me did it when they were alone. But you just can't get 6 people out the door in time. Not when 4 of them are kids. Rain Man is my early riser and he showers before bed, but everyone else is either dirty or groggy.

A hit from York makes South Carolina my 30th state! And in a "small world" coincidence, the guy who registered the hit sent me an e-mail saying that he used to live in Elmira and has been to the mall where I reported originally finding George. 8)

In just eight days, George has made it to Arizona, my 31st state! :)

And I got my third hit from Ontario, too! :)

Maryland becomes state #30 on a hit from one of the bills I dropped at the House of Mouse.

One more hit and my George score should finally top 800.

I've been glancing at all the $1 bills I get in change hoping to see a Where's George stamp, and I finally got one today!

I entered it, hoping it would be one of y'all, but no. The WG stamp originated in Pueblo a couple months ago. It was a 2006 series and pretty worn. I predict it won't last out the year.

Darn, and I still need a hit in Colorado, too.

I got a marked bill as change at trivia last night. It's the first I've seen in over a year. I gave it back with my tip though.

Doggone it, Bob! Didn't you have another dollar bill you could leave as a tip, until you had the chance to log that hit?

It's been a pretty slow week for me. I did get another hit in CT, the other day, christie (in Groton, "the submarine capital of the world") if you'd like to go find that one. :) From the date I entered it, that had to be one of the Georges I spent during my Maine vacation.

I didn't see any Wild Georges while cashiering at the booksale today, but I did get one while buying breakfast. This George has been out in the wild for just under eight years!

BTW, does that URL look excessively long to anyone?

The reason is that you did not link to the bill report, but the screen that comes up after you entered that bill. The Hit "Ch-ching" (Which I can not hear on Firefox, but I get the "Additional plug-ins required" box pop up) goes off when I click on the link, and I can see the full serial of the bill and the entry box with your user note and zip code below the report..... the only thing it didn't do is log me in as you!

Here is the actual url for that bill.....

Thanks for the explanation, beast.

Did they change the WG web site interface today? I'm seeing new screens for entering bills (starting with having to choose whether your entering a bill you've found or new ones of your own) and some new icons.

I found one Wild George at the book sale today, from Blissfield, MI.

Yes they did. I'm not sure what I think of the new changes so far, but it's the most dramatic overhaul they've done to the site since the much ballyhooed (At least over there) 5th anniversary upgrade in December 2003.....

I got to use the Wild feature on the homepage this morning since someone at work found a wild which he gave to me. It looks like it's directed to help out people new to the site who make a lot of rookie mistakes that result in mis-entries.... though it doesn't make much sense for a veteran to go through those steps. I may just use the regular entry for wilds from now on.....
