Maybe you are right. Maybe not. I'd never heard of telomeres so I found it interesting.

The commercial they always run on tv (they just showed it earlier this evening) says if you're under 4' 10", you're required to be in a booster seat, regardless of age. I'm not sure if it's a state or a national ad. If you are in Colorado, then the requirement apparently is "children who weigh over 40 lbs. or who are at least four years old but less than six years old be properly restrained in a child booster seat or with a child safety belt-positioning device, unless they are 55 inches tall."
Our kids still will use a booster until they likely are 10 or so (PP maybe even longer). When we take long trips, we actually use high-backed booster seats. It will be at least junior high before they ride in the front passenger seat.
