It probably won't happen, but just announcing the invitation is a pretty slick publicity stunt for the show.

If he responds - it will be something about not being able to because of pending litigation.

Back in the early 1980's, F. Lee Bailey hosted a shortlived show called, I believe, Lie Detector. People made claims that they had done certain things and then were hooked up to the lie detector to see if they were telling the truth. Most of the people on the show, not surprisingly, were convicted criminals proclaiming their innocence and they virtually always got shot down.

One guy I do remember was a man who claimed to be the sailor in the famous Life Magazine photo showing a woman in NYC on VJ Day kissing a sailor. The lie detector said that was indeed him.

The show never got much in the way of ratings and was gone in a few months.
