I'm going to Arizona too!

#1 Post by Snaxx » Tue Jan 22, 2008 11:50 pm

Thanks to the leadership of one of my cousins who is getting tickets, at least five and possibly seven members of my extended family will be getting together in Arizona and attending the Super Bowl!

Most will be arriving Saturday and leaving Monday, but I am taking a week off work and will arrive earlier in the week, attending a pre-Super Bowl charity event with performances by last year's Idols (Jordin Sparks and Melinda Doolittle) as well as making a side trip to Vegas. Needless to say, I'm all excited! I'll be lighter in the wallet, but this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

That is fabu!!!

Have a great time!

I'm into cheap thrills -- so far I have $17 bet, I took the Giants and the points for $5 and $12 in a three-dollar squares pool.

I'll put about $40 more into a $5 squares pool at the office when it gets going.

GO GIANTS!!!!!!!!

Have fun Snaxx, I am jealous.

Now the game--yes I think NE will win but it would not totally shock me if the Giants pulled the upset--I like their defense.

I am tired of hearing about the Dolphins and what they did, and I am also tired of hearing about the Patriots have a chance to do, so I guess I am in a no win situation about getting tired of hearing about one or the other.

I would love for my husband to be able to go and take Mini-me. I was teasing that I had to hit the casino and try to win more money so he could get tickets. It really is a once in a lifetime deal, especially considering how unevenly the Jets play. If your backup team can make it, then go!

Congrats.

The car rental prices are a bit nuts. I've had good luck with Dollar--their rental car prices were hundreds of dollars less than everyone else's last year.

Be sure to check out radio row. Last year they had a place where you could watch radio row from the side--a lot of the NFL greats end up showing up there.

And just think, we saw them way back in October before they were special.

Good luck... wish I could be going with you to this one....

Wow, what a trip! No doubt you will have an amazing time. :-) And you don't even have to freeze your patootie off in Green Bay!

Hey Snaxx congrats.
Tickets cost a small fortune--

Despite your earlier denials, I insist you are a trust-fund baby! :P

But whatever the case, have fun. You know I am a Jets fan but always sorta root quietly for the Giants (NFL for New Yorkers is not like a Mets-Yankees thing where you simply CAN'T root for both, and you have to be a native of my era to understand that) -- by OT in the Green Bay game I was wearing out the carpet! I think the Giants have a chance if they play a turnover-free game and don't allow any big special teams plays against. They match-up better than any expert is giving them credit for....

I know what an excellent photographer you are, so I can't wait to see all the new photos when you get back!
