Football Dream

#1 Post by peacock2121 » Sun Jan 20, 2008 8:13 am

Pealette is a huge Giants fan (shut up)

Dr Dick is a huge San Diego fan.

How cool would it be if they ended up in The Super Bowl.

I know, it ain't gonna happen - and how cool would that be?

Apologies to pealette and Dr Dick, but IMHO, that would be a Super Bowl as boring as hell. Kinda like Baltimore/New York Giants from seven years ago.

Pats/Packers will be the most entertaining Super Bowl, on and off the field.

Half a dream come true.

Not a totally bad thing.

Eli was amazing.

Maybe they have a chance.

Kinda like marley has a chance every time he goes to an audition.

Now I will be pulling for the Giants!
Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

You don't know everything.

You can't control everything.

Deal with it.
