Bill still has two lifelines, including Ask The Expert. Today's expert is Jeff Corwin, biologist, TV host and author of the book "100 Heartbeats". Jeff is eating gummy bears while he holds up his book for the Skype camera.

Bill: Kitten heels, you know, sound kind of--nyeah.

Jeff: No, kitten, you know--I'm gonna say it's either puppy heels or bunny heels. I'm guessing it's either A or C.

Bill: That's process of elimination?

Jeff: But puppy--Meredith, how much time do I have?

Meredith: Your time ran out, actually.

Jeff: I'm gonna say--

Bill: You're thinking puppy or bunny, really, duckling--not so much?

Jeff: I'm going to say--puppy dog tails is a guy sort of thing, so--bunny heels?

Bill: I've heard of bunny slippers.

Meredith: Oh, the two of you are a trip! God!

Jeff: If I was a cross-dresser, you know--

Meredith: There's always time.

Jeff: I know, I'm gonna say bunny heels. That's my guess. Bunny heels.

I would've been out as well. My logic went for duckling because a duckling's legs are short and slender.

The only reason I knew of kitten heel was a bored discussion.
Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

Me, too. I'd have been thrilled to get that question, for the opportunity it would have presented me for a gratuitous plug of the Bored.

Alas, TPTB wouldn't let a contestant wave a book cover or an ES artwork in front of the camera during that plug. :P

No idea, but the audience probably will, so I'll use ATA. FTR elwing and I used to work at a women's shoe store and neither of us had heard of this.
