So much for my theory that the "Real Housewife" helper could give a contestant all the answers on the thematic questions--all three lifelines burnt on two "RH" questions!

And wasn't this a nasty question for this particular week? I doubt that even the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" do much fishing!

I'm not sure if it would've made any difference on the outcome of the game, but Meredith mispronounced the name of the fish. It's not pronounced "crap-e". It's pronounced "crop-e". At least that's how I've heard it pronounced by most people in Kentucky.

I fast forwarded to the bottom of this thread simply to post:

This won't end well.

And now, back to reading the transcript.

I wouldn't say Meredith mispronounced the word. I think both pronunciations are used. When I was growing up in Kentucky, I always heard it pronounced "crap-e" on the sports reports and fishing shows. The "crop-e" pronunciation came along later, when fishermen started getting all politically correct.

It is still "crap-e" in Atlanta, at least at my pond. And while the yo-yo's on "Real Housewifes of Atlanta" might not know this you can be sure that native real housewives of Atlanta would.
