A recent episode of "Iron Chef America" featured vegetables from the White House garden as the "secret ingredient". Alton Brown spoke with Michelle Obama about the garden and this bit of trivia was mentioned. However, had I been in the HS when the show was taped I wouldn't have known it. My first thought was that it would be Edith Wilson (a "victory garden") but when her name didn't show up, I would have been stuck. I could eliminate Jackie and Nancy (neither of them strike me as the gardening type). Frankly I might have gone with Mamie because she seemed more "down to earth" than the others. Let's say I don't, and use the DD. I end up with the right answer.

I've heard of Plantsville. I used to live in Hamden and would drive up Rt 10 to Mt. Southington to take my oldest daughter (who was 7 at the time) skiing back in the '80s. My Sister-in-law lives in Cheshire, not too far away.

The College Football Hall of Fame is in South Bend, not in Notre Dame. For the time being. It is likely moving to Atlanta in the future. If you spent the night you were probably in South Bend. Or possibly out on the 31 bypass. Not sure how much of that is within the city limits.
