I decided on lasagna (homemade for the most part) and picked up some vino. Dessert will be well... not homemade. I don't to hit him too hard. Don't want to put his system in to total meltdown.
We shall see.

So he statements like, "Wow, this is better than my mom's" and "Do you have any of those Tupperware things so I can some of this home with me" and "I want my mom to try this too," does that mean it was a hit?
I sent quite a bit home with him, per his request. I couldn't have picked a better wine at a reasonable price. '04 Clos Du Val cab...
Had a great time.
