Jennifer married, with two kinds, but going though a tough time at home. They can't watch Millionaire, because they have no cable. They also have no oven. Last year, they bought a washer/dryer, but had no room for it in their small New York apartment, so Jennifer and her husband ripped out the oven and threw it away, to make room. If she wins some money here, she might buy a new oven.

But where would they put the new oven if they bought one? :?

And what happened to antenna reception in Brooklyn? :?

IIRC, antenna reception in much of NYC sucked because of all the tall buildings. Then came the digital (DTV) revolution which made it worse.

For anyone that is curious, in looking at the numbers for FY04-FY09, the top 5 countries appear to be:

China, Guatamala, Russia, South Korea, and Ethiopia.

Also, 2004 was the most active year for international adoption. 2009 and 2008 were the least-active years, likely because of the economy.

Guatamala and Ethiopia saw more children being adopted by American parents in 2008 and 2009 than previous years. in fact, Guatamala was the most active country in 2008, the only year that China was not #1.

Wite-out is one thing I still use, though not necessarily for something I've typed.
