I was just thinking that Dean wouldn't risk using the DD when he was playing for charity, when he proved me wrong. Too bad he started with guessing owls. :(

I can eliminate "Family Guy", but since I don't watch any of the other three shows, I'll have to ATA.

I would've suffered the same fate as Dean. I would've Double Dipped on owls and parrots. Crows was the last answer I ever would've picked.

Didn't your accelerated Spanish class also teach you that Jose Cuervo means Joe Crow?

The guy was smart, and he had the tools to go a long way. Too bad he got a question for 15K that would have gone for 125K in the prime-time version.

Unless they start asking more reasonable questions in the middle tier, we'll never see anyone get past 50K.

I liked him. He had the same color shirt and tie I wore in the HS. :D

No one remembers that Far Side cartoon of the crow with a spatula, flippin' up a little roadkill lunch?

Also "corvids" kinda sounds like "crows". Not that it matters. I'd have flamed out on Italian Wedding soup. Somehow I thought those little balls were dumplings.

Far Side cartoons are hard to find on the internet.

Was there any discussion on why he chose those two hospitals? Sounds like at least one set of twins had some problems at birth.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

Yes, IIRC, he said all his children were preemies and were treated at Duke Children’s Hospital and his dad had treatment for childhood polio at the Shriners Children’s Hospital.

I thought of that cartoon immediately. I now need to add Far Side to the list of everything I needed to know I learned from Scrubs, Animaniacs and The Simpsons.

That one was a good lesson, too, if you heard about the firestorm of complaints that followed it.

I once worked with Dean. He is a very smart guy and I feel bad he did not go farther.

Still congrats Dean and thanks for donating the money.

Here's a short article about Dean's appearance. Just a copy & paste from the press release, except that there's a photo above the story that has nothing to do with Dean.
